1) Origins. Sciences has
determined that the universe had a beginning point
It was common in
ancient views to consider the universe eternal and that all life emerged from
the earth.
The
Bible teaches that the universe had a beginning. This is precisely what most scientists now
believe when they accept the big bang theory.

2) Order of Creation Events
The details differ,
but the essential elements in the astronomical and biblical accounts of Genesis
are the same. This is a much more
scientifically sophisticated conception than held by the common ancient
creation stories.

No new matter is being created
The Bible declared from the beginning that creation
was complete and that God rested from his work of creating. (Genesis 2:2)
No new matter is coming into existence. This is the First Law of Thermodynamics.

Universe is running down.
“In the beginning
you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your
hands. They will perish, but you remain
like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.” Psalm 102:25-27
The Second Law of Thermodynamics declares that
the universe is running out of useable energy.

Life produces after its kind

6) The Earth is a Spherical
Isaiah (700 BC) says that God “sits
enthroned above the circle of the earth.” (Is.40:22)
“Circle” is the Hebrew word “chug.”
Solomon (950 BC) wrote concerning
the personification of wisdom,
“I was there when he set the heavens in place, when he marked out
the horizon on the face (“chug”, or circle) of the deep.” (Prov.8:27)
Jesus said in Luke
17:34-36 (Mt.24:40-41) that at the point of his return to the earth it would be
morning for some, day time for others and even night time for other.

The Earth Hangs in Space
In a time when it was common to believe the sky was a
solid dome (1400 BC) the Bible accurately speaks of God spreading out the
northern skies over empty space and suspending the earth over nothing.
“He
spreads out the northern skies over empty space;

The Sea Has Currents and Paths of Water Movement
“. . .the
fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the sea.” Psalm 8:8
Matthew Maury, an officer in the U.S. Navy used this
verse to inspire him to look for and find the currents of the seas.

Mountains and Valleys in the Ocean
In the 1900’s oceanographers found that the sea has
many deep valleys or canyons. Before
that people thought it was bowl shaped like a huge flat, sandy desert.
David mentions “the valleys of the sea in 2 Sam.22:16
and Psalm 18:15. God asks Job, “Have you
walked in the valleys of the sea?”
Jonah mentions the “Mountains in the sea.” (Jonah 2:6)

Evaporation, Condensation and Precipitation

This is an accurate statement saying
that water in the sky is the source of thunder.

Britannica says:

generated by charge-separation processes within a cloud that produce an
electric dipole structure in the cloud. Chargers reside on
water drops, ice particles, or both.
If the surrounding air has a net charge, an air discharge from the cloud
may occur. (This is Lightning.) The thunder associated with lightning is
caused by the rapid heating of air to high temperatures. The air expands at supersonic speeds. A shock wave results, within 1-3 yards it
decays into a sound wave.”
