The African Connection |
This
summer we made contact with a person in Maryland who frequently ships
20 foot containers to Rev. Clement Owusu Sarpong and his Word Alive
Revival Church in Accra, Ghana filled with supplies, Bibles, etc. We can now ship a box of twenty books to
Maryland at media mail rate of about $18. That figures out to be less
than a dollar a book for shipping to Maryland. From Maryland the box of
books is put in the container and the container is put on a freight
ship. Rev. Clement Sarpong has just emailed us letting us know he has
received the books. He sent a list of the names of the people to whom

The World is Online with Generation Word
|
 The local Bible studies and church messages from Generation Word are put online and accessed by listeners around the world. Some listen faithfully each week to an ongoing series such as Ephesians, or the Bible School, or the Sunday morning church service. These are a few of the countries that were online this week listening to Generation Word and using our study material: Republic of Korea, China, France, United Arabs Emirates, South Africa, Malaysia, Philippians, Mauritius, Australia, United Kingdom, Canada, Nigeria and Israel.
There were over 30 states of the United States online this week. The biggest number of listeners came from the state of New York!
To the left is a satellite image showing the location of one Generation Word listener this week from Israel in Jerusalem just south of the Temple Mound and the Old City of David. Monday Night Bible School
|
Last week in Bible school we covered the book of Ezra and Nehemiah. This next Monday we will finish Nehemiah, teach through Malachi and begin the silent 400 years. Last week's class is now online (use links below).  The Bible School meets every Monday night at 7:00 at Connxions at 3901 121st Street in Urbandale, Iowa. Framework for Christian Faith is our textbook. |
