Zion Gate on the south side of the Old City Walls.

Notice the bullet holes in the wall from 1948 when fighting at this gate was very intense. Jewish soldiers needed to get into the city to relieve the Jewish quarter who where under siege from Jordan.

The Zion gate was constructed in 1540 by Suleyman the Magnificents builders.
