This is a photo of recent archeological work at the newly discovered site of what is believed to be King David's palace.
The Cardo which was the main street running through the crusader Jeursalem and was lined with shops. The left of the picture is the pavement for the road. The area to the right of the columns was the sidewalk. To the far right of the photo was the shops.
